B-Daman series

B-Daman was first produced in 1993, modeled after Bomberman, and hence was called "Bomberman B-Daman".

Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden series

• Bakugaiden (1995): Assembled from western armour-themes parts, which was the basis for Battle B-Daman.
• Bakugaiden II (1996): Was sold with Super Bomberman 4.
• Bakugaiden III (1997): B-Daman can be turned into vehicles.
• Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden IV (1998): Unlike previous series, it is only sold in unassembled form, with interchangeable parts. Starting from the premier of the TV series, kits are no longer numbered.
• Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden V (1999):

Super B-Daman series

• Super B-Daman Bomber System

Uses a very basic core image. This is the start of Super B-Daman, and are derived from the previous series of B-Daman; Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden. Spanned #51-113

• Super B-Daman Over Shell System

Uses an over sized gear, called Over Shell, that hooks onto B-Daman for increases part usage. This series design was derived from the Super B-Daman manga/anime. Series spanned #79-126

• Super B-Daman Plug In System

Discarded the Over Shell, in place of more complex parts and gimmicks. This series design was derived from the Super B-Daman manga/anime. Spanned #114-128

• Super B-Daman Plug In-Extra System

Kept the same basic design as PI, but added more parts. This series design was derived from the Super B-Daman manga/anime. Spanned #129-140

• Super B-Daman Revolution System

Parts became less complex, and were sold in preassembled form. This series design was derived from the Super B-Daman manga/anime. Spanned #141-156

• Super B-Daman Revolution Extra-Unit System

Last series from Super B-Daman; popularity had slid by now into Takara's new toyline Beyblade. All in all, there were four units sold. This series allows for PI and PI-EX to be used in conjunction with RE. This series design was derived from the Super B-Daman manga/anime. Spanned #157-160

Battle B-Daman

• DHB series (2002-3-21): Allow site shield and attack point to be equipped. For safety concerns, parts that increases firepower were not made.
• Limited model series (2002-12): Low cost, repackaged Fighting Phoenix, Wild Wyvern, Stag Sphinx, Konig Kerberos, Master Kouryakuou Special II, Blue B-Daman from Super B-Daman OS series.
• Zero series (2003-7-17): Allows DHB armour to be used in this series. Shot power was increased. Parts were further simplified from Super B-Daman designs.
• Zero2 (blaster core) series (2004-7-22): Allows DHB core to be replaced.
• Zero2 Strike Shot series (2004-12): Allow DHB advance core to be used. The unit can take 3 hits. In addition, B-DaBalls have different materials, which gives different attributes and ability.
• Cartridge series (2005-7-21): When a cartridge is loaded to the core, 2 B-DaBalls can be fired in one shot.
• Digital B-Daman (2005-11-24): B-Daman is controlled by infrared remote control.
• Iron system b-daman(?????):this b-daman doesn't need DHB Armor

Crash B-Daman series

Crash B-Daman was first sold in 2005/12/31. This series specialized on shooting. It uses pistol type grip and trigger, making it look vaguely like a pistol. It is also compatible with some Battle B-Daman parts. The pistol grips and triggers vary in both size, color, and functionality. Crash only made 40 models before being canceled. Many import players liked the design, but Japanese parents believed that gun models were too violent for their kids.

Used simple gimmicks such as delta core, roller core, etc. Only barrels and magazines from Cartridge B-Daman were backwards compatible.

• Synchronized Weapon System Series

Add the gimmick of firing a Crash weapon from the handle as well as introducing much more complex gimmicks.

Metal B-Daman series

The newest series of B-Daman, released on June 24th, 2007 in Japan. Japanese players have been complaining that the packaging is too large for what is inside. The package is roughly 1.5x as large as an SWS Crash B-Daman, but the B-Daman its self is less than half the size of an SWS. The B-Dama for this series is magnetic, and they are only 11 cm; instead of the usual 16 cm. So far, it is unknown if customizable parts are going to be available. It is notable that these B-Daman are incredibly cheap, around 400 Yen ($3.50 US).

B-Daman

B-Daman, also called Beadman in Korea, is a marble shooting toy produced in Japan by Takara. In 2005, Hasbro licensed the "Battle B-Daman" configuration of the toy. In 2004, Hasbro join force with Takara and Fox Entertainment Group to bring it to the Japan and called the Battle B-Daman toy and USA in 2005 Takara licensed the show to Fox Entertainment Group so in came to the us^{[citation needed]}
The blaster's design is a humanoid figure at the centre, from which a specially made marble, is launched (not just any marbles can be used). Different attachments are used to change a B-Daman's accuracy, power, balance, control, and rapid fire. They are customizable and each have a special gimmick.
In the English language Battle B-Daman toys, the marbles are referred to as "B-Daballs". In all cases they are simply called "marbles" (Japanese:  biidama, hence the name "B-Daman") in Japan.

Game rules

Depending on how it is played, there are different sets of game rules. In Hasbro's "Battle B-Daman" tournament set, it has the following 10 games:

• Direct hit battle (DHB): Shoot at each other's B-Daman until opponent's B-Daman's switch is hit. In the "Zero" system, this causes a cap to block the barrel (originally a specially made game piece would pop out). Direct Hit Battle armor is required. (Note: Hasbro only sells the Zero, and blastercore versions)
• Tag Team DHB: Similar to DHB, only you have teammates who you can tag in when you are not being fired at. You cannot tag in your tag team partner if their armor has been disabled.
• DHB havoc: Similar to DHB, but the opposing B-Daman is behind target barricades placed in B-dabattlefield.
• B-Daman invasion: Shoot at the battle puck in the arena until it reaches opponent's baseline. Tis is known as "Battle Hockey" in Japan.
• Battle hammer: Try to shoot the puck as far as you can using 5 shots.
• Ultimate strike: A classic game of shooting down as many target pins as possible in one shot.
• Shoot the gap: Shoot between standing target pins while avoiding hitting them.
• B-Daman assault: Flip your opponent's gates in 30 seconds.
• B-Daman blast: Flip 4 gates with 6 marbles.
• Hard target: Shooting battle pin hidden behind target barricades.
• B-DaChallenge: Each player sets up a shot and tries to complete it. If they are successful, their opponent must complete it. If they fail you win.

EZ play

A set of rules advertised in Japanese version of the game, which defines game types that do not use B-dabattlefield.

• EZ battle bowling: Place 3 paper cups in triangle formation, then fire at the cups from 50 cm away. Each player has 3 chances to shoot. Each cup worth 10 points, while a strike gets 50 extra points.
• EZ brake shot: Place 5 B-Dama within a 10 cm circle, then fire at the B-Dama from 50 cm away. Score is determined by number of B-DaBalls that are shot out of the circle.
• EZ battle getter: Place a pencil between opposing B-DaPlayer, then try to push the pencil to opponent by firing for 30 seconds. A match is won by pushing the pencil to opponent's side.
• EZ through the gate: Place 5 pins in a row, with each pin 5 cm away from the next closest pin. Fire from 60 cm away for 10 rounds. Each B-Dama passes between gap scores 10 points, while each pin knocked down loses 10 points.
• EZ broken three: Make a row of 3 targets with rubber(gomu) erasers, then fire at target from 50 cm away. Winner is determined by how long it takes to break the targets.
• EZ sky jump: Place a paper up with opening on top, then fire at the cup from 50 cm away for 3 shots. Winner is determined by how many B-DaBalls are shot into the cup.

Unless otherwise stated, the following rules use limited model B-Daman as targets:

• EZ battle hockey: Same as EZ battle getter, but can use PET bottle (clear plastic beverage bottle) instead of pencil.
• EZ time attack: Fire at a row of targets from 50 cm away. Adjust number of targets and firing distance as necessary. Winner is determined by the amount of firing time.
• EZ battle bowling: Same as the regular EZ battle bowling.

BCS theory

BCS theory,  in physics, a comprehensive theory developed in 1957 by the American physicists John Bardeen, Leon N. Cooper, and John R. Schrieffer (their surname initials providing the designation BCS) to explain the behaviour of superconducting materials. Superconductors abruptly lose all resistance to the flow of an electric current when they are cooled to temperatures near absolute zero.
Cooper had discovered that electrons in a superconductor are grouped in pairs, now called Cooper pairs, and that the motions of all of the Cooper pairs within a single superconductor are correlated; they constitute a system that functions as a single entity. Application of an electrical voltage to the superconductor causes all Cooper pairs to move, constituting a current. When the voltage is removed, current continues to flow indefinitely because the pairs encounter no opposition. For the current to stop, all of the Cooper pairs would have to be halted at the same time, a very unlikely occurrence. As a superconductor is warmed, its Cooper pairs separate into individual electrons, and the material becomes normal, or nonsuperconducting.
Many other aspects of the behaviour of superconductors are explained by the BCS theory. The theory supplies a means by which the energy required to separate the Cooper pairs into their individual electrons can be measured experimentally. The BCS theory also explains the isotope effect, in which the temperature at which superconductivity appears is reduced if heavier atoms of the elements making up the material are introduced. 
Josephson effect, flow of electric current between two pieces of superconducting material separated by a thin layer of insulating material. Superconductors are materials that lose all electrical resistance when cooled below a certain temperature near absolute zero. The English physicist Brian D. Josephson predicted the flow of current in 1962 on the basis of the BCS theory (q.v.) of superconductivity. The subsequent experimental verification of the Josephson effect lent support to the BCS theory.

Review the following "tips" before you bid.
Please feel free to inspect all vehicles that will be offered for sale.  Vehicles are located inside the entrance road to the Bel Air Auto Auction.  Inspections begin at 12:00 PM on day of sale.  If you have any questions concerning the sale, please feel free to ask one of the staff members or stop by the registration counter in the main office.
You, the registered bidder, are responsible for bids tendered, irrespective of the designated purchaser of the vehicle, ie, do not buy a vehicle for a friend or relative (wife, husband, mother, aunt, uncle, etc.) unless you are prepared to assume responsibility in full for the purchase.


Understanding "As Is/Where Is:"  Any vehicle or vessel that is purchased at this auction is sold to you "as Is/Where Is."  In other words, the Auction does not give you a GUARANTEE or imply a WARRANTY of any type, kind, or nature on any purchase, ie - what you buy - is what you get.  This is a wholesale exchange between, you, the buyer, and the seller, this is not a retail used car showroom.  Please make certain that you are comfortable buying in the "As Is/Where Is" arena - you will be held finanancially responsible for any bids tendered.  Please make sure you know what you are bidding on - condition, mileage, desirability, etc! (If you are unable to drive a vehicle equipped with a "standard-shift" transmission, please ensure the vehicle of interest is satisfactorily equipped).
Right Car/Truck For You!:  Make sure you know what you are bidding on.  Make certain the car you bid on is the one you looked at earlier; double check the lot #.  Don't trust your recollection of the color or model - there may have been two or three cars of the same year/model and color.  Think ahead...does the vehicle fit your lifestyle needs?, will it work well with your budget?, will you enjoy driving it?, etc...
Vehicle Condition:  Look the vehicle over completely before you raise your hand to bid.  Make sure you are familiar with the condition of both the interior and the exterior.  Once the bid is "knocked down" to you, you are fully responsible for the unit.

Automatic/"Stick Shift" Transmission:  Several of the cars/trucks sold are equipped with a "stick-shift" or manual transmission.  If you are unable to drive a vehicle equipped as such, do not bid on a car/truck you can't drive!  The attached vehicle catalog indicates, most of the time, the vehicles's transmission type.
Mileage:  Make sure you visually look at the odometer to determine the correct mileage.  Sometimes a vehicle may be "over 100,000 miles."  If so, the auction staff, when aware of this condition, makes every effort to mark such on the windshield.
Cash Deposit Required to Register:  When a bid is "knocked down" to you and you are the successful bidder, make sure you are able to adhere to the terms of the sale, $1000 deposit*, in cash today (Thursday) and the balance to be paid the following business day; Friday by 4:00 pm. You must leave your deposit with the Cashier immediately after the bid is accepted.  Personal checks, money orders, or credit cards are not acceptable. Purchases of $10,000 or more require a 10% deposit; $500 or less - full payment due on Sale Day. Please do not bid if you are unable to meet the deposit or final balance required. Remember, once you have bid and your bid is successful, you are fully responsible for consummating the purchase.

  BSC America’s Bel Air Auto Auction Celebrates 63 Years

            Some things improve with age and experience, as the owners and staff of BSC America’s Bel Air Auto Auction will tell you. The Bel Air Auto Auction has been a fixture of the auto auction industry since its earliest days, and recently celebrated its 63^rd year with a special sale on April 22^nd.

            Michelle Nichols-Neff, vice president of Bel Air Auto Auction, reports that the auction ran nearly 1,300 vehicles at this year’s anniversary sale, with featured consignments from Wells Fargo Dealer Services, Bank of America, PHH, Enterprise, ARI, M&T Bank, and Dollar Thrifty Group,  in addition to a number of local and regional auto dealers. In keeping with a standing tradition at Bel Air Auto Auction, the anniversary sale also included a classic and muscle car sale, and thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways.

            “We were delighted with the attendance at our 63^rd anniversary sale,” said Nichols-Neff. “We recorded a total of 946 bidder badges in the lane, with 245 more dealers attending the Simulcast sale. “Buyers came from far and wide to celebrate with us, and to bid on a great selection of cars and trucks. By day’s end, we recorded an overall sale rate of 73%!”
               Nichols-Neff reports that capping the festivities at the auctions 63^rd Anniversary was the grand prize drawing. Sam’s Auto Wholesale left the auction with his vehicle purchases and big vacation plans, as the winner of week-long Royal Caribbean Cruise.

In looking back over Bel Air Auto Auction’s 63 years in business, Nichols-Neff notes that the auction’s first sale in 1947 featured 50 vehicles running on a single auction lane. Vehicles were registered for the sale for $5 each. Sale and title transactions took place directly between buying and selling dealers at the point of sale, while the auction charged 25 cents to notarize title documents. A second lane was added in 1962, and the auction became of a member of the NAAA in 1958. 

The Nichols family purchased the auction in partnership with Burt & Dottie Greenwood in 1980, assuming full ownership in 1993. As business grew, a reconditioning shop was created out of the original 1947 building, and more lanes were added in the early 1990’s, bringing Bel Air to its current size of six auction lanes. A major renovation in 1995 resulted in a 4,000 square-foot expansion of the administrative offices, and property acquisitions brought the total footprint of the auction to more than 50 acres. 

Today, Bel Air Auto Auction manages the flow of more than 75,000 vehicles a year, handling consignments from new and used car dealers and private business fleets as well as those from public service and government agencies. Bel Air Auto Auction sells on six auction lanes every Thursday. The auction is strategically located just 17 miles from Baltimore and 80 miles from Philadelphia and provides a wide range of auto-related services, including floor planning, storage, transportation, Internet sales, full reconditioning, and certification.

BSCAmerica is a group of privately held companies with a history that dates back more than 3 decades.  Originally started as Nichols Auction Company by Raymond C. and Elaine G. Nichols, the company has grown from a single general auction business to a group of highly specialized asset management companies. 

In 1974, Nichols Auction Company expanded its operation to primarily serve lenders within the financial sector with  real estate and equipment auctions.  In 1978, the company was renamed Atlantic Auctions to reflect the regional scope of the many clients served.

To compliment the work of Atlantic Auctions, the Nichols’ family soon found themselves in auto auction business when they acquired Bel Air Auto Auction in 1979. Today, Bel Air Auto Auction is the largest independently owned auto auction in Maryland, and stands among the other BSCAmerica companies as the organization’s flagship business.

All during the 1980’s the entrepreneurial spirit of founding partners lead to the development of new services and new companies.  In 1981 Lee & Mason of Maryland was formed together with Banking Services Corp.  Lee & Mason offered innovative insurance products to manage the risk in auto lease portfolios of lenders across North America.  Banking Services Corp quickly became an industry leader in the field of auto remarketing and lease termination management.

With the acquisition and growth of these companies, it was clear that BSCAmerica had a knack for managing the assets of others.  In 1987, when the savings and loan thrift crisis hit Maryland, Financial Conservators, another BSCAmerica Company, was called upon by State and Federal Agencies to oversee, liquidate, and manage billions of assets of many distressed thrifts.  Its work in this field earned FCI distinction from FSLIC Resolution Trust Corporation and FDIC as a top-performing contractor in 1989.
