Bikes!

We've got a new bike for Maddie! We had to go looking for one...summer is almost over and we won't get her household goods for another 2 months...so we found a fabulous deal ($5 at a garage sale!) on our neighbor's daughter's bike...She's sparkly and blue...and we're looking for just the right name for her.



Maddie has now learned to ride all by herself with NO TRAINING WHEELS. We're so proud of her. She loves her new bike and is so excited to go on our first family bike trip...

Which will just be around our neighborhood so we can practice staying in a single file line on the side of the road and all that.

And that we weren't able to do until we had found just the right bike seat for Bella...her small size makes her difficult to fit, but we found one that will work with just a few modifications such as a rolled up blanket around her so she is squeezed into the seat just a little more and I don't have to worry about her slipping out the sides. As you can see, Bella loved her first bike ride. She did not, however, love wearing that helmet. How can you not be happy with a ladybug on your head?
