Employee Benefits Corporation administers a variety of employee benefits, from the BESTflexSM Plan (Section 125) and EBC HRASM (Section 105) to the BennyTM Benefits Card (health care debit card) and COBRASecureSM (COBRA and State Continuation administration), through informative educational materials, detailed reporting, creative plan designs and expert customer support. As a 100 percent employee-owned company, Employee Benefits Corporation is committed to its clients’ satisfaction and providing distinctive products.
Customer Service
Our entire team is committed to understanding and responding to our clients’ unique needs, and our in-house Employer Services and Participant Services teams open the lines of communication between us and employers and participants.
We assign each of our clients to a dedicated member of the Employer Services team – a Client Liaison – so each client receives personalized help and information from someone who is familiar with their benefits. Plan participants talk with a group of representatives that understands the employee's perspective and provides the best possible guidance when questions arise.
Custom Plan Design
Every employer needs its lineup of employee benefits to fulfill a unique set of needs. Our Sales team can tailor each one of our products to fit those needs, all the while molding a benefit that is efficient to administer and compliant with any applicable rules and regulations.
In-house Compliance Team
Our experienced, in-house Compliance team interprets complex language from governmental bodies to keep our clients’ products in line with the latest rules and regulations. This protects our products’ tax-advantaged status and keeps our clients safe from adverse penalties.
Accuracy and Efficiency
Our technology and proprietary software let us administer complex benefit plans with automation, accuracy and efficiency, and feed our clients a stream of convenient, online data. Since we made the software, we can continue to develop it so it consistently accommodates our clients’ changing needs.
Range of Full-featured Benefits
We apply these standards to a full range of employee benefits. They can work by themselves or as a group, in conjunction with one another.
BESTflexSM PlanThe BESTflexSM Plan Plan is a Section 125 plan that allows participating employees to deduct money from their pay on a pre-tax basis and use it to pay for their group insurance premiums and fund flexible spending accounts (FSA), which reimburse their eligible health care and dependent care expenses. The plan also benefits businesses, as they save 7.65 percent in social security taxes on every dollar participants contribute to the plan.
The BESTflex Plan can include several plan design features – the 2-1/2 month grace period, the BennyTM Benefits Card and employer FSA contributions, to name a few – that our Sales team configures for our clients. It comes standard with phone and Internet support from our expert Employer Services and Participant Services teams, and the accurate and efficient administration that our technology promises.
EBC HRASM
The EBC HRASM is a Section 105 Health Reimbursement Arrangement that fills in the gaps left by health insurance plans by allowing employers to fund participating employees' eligible, uninsured health expenses. Fully customizable to meet employers’ needs, the plan is an ideal complement to a high-deductible health plan and a way to give participants control over and awareness of their health care spending. There are a myriad of possibilities when it comes to designing the EBC HRA. Our knowledgeable Sales team can keep it simple or make it unique – either way, employers can rest assured that the EBC HRA will meet their needs and our proprietary software will streamline the administration. When questions arise, Employee Benefits Corporation will always be there to offer phone and Internet support to participants and employers.
COBRASecureSMFederal and state regulations allow health plan participants to continue their employer-sponsored health care coverage after their employment ends, but doing so presents a special set of administrative challenges. Whether an employer must follow federal COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985) regulations or state regulations (in Wisconsin, Texas, Utah, Illinois, New York or Minnesota), COBRASecureSM ensures 100 percent compliance.
COBRA and State Continuation regulations are stringent and time-sensitive. Employee Benefits Corporation’s teams have the training and experience to recognize their intricacies, allowing us to provide understandable, precise support to employers and participants. Our in-house Compliance team monitors continuation regulations and the complex situations they create to lift the weight from our clients’ shoulders.
