Roads & Highways
EBA provides a comprehensive range of prime and specialist consulting services for rural, urban, northern, and resource roads. Our services encompass the full life cycle of road infrastructure including:

Airports

Ports & Harbours
EBA provides specialized engineering and scientific expertise for industrial, commercial and recreational marine facilities and infrastructure. Through the acquisition of Hay & Company (Hayco), EBA offers comprehensive services for conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new facilities, retrofits and repairs to existing facilities, structural assessments, and inspections. Our capabilities include timber structures, concrete structures of cast-in-place, pre-cast and post-tensioned design, as well as those of structural steel. We provide project management, tender package preparation, contract administration, procurement, and quality assurance and monitoring services during construction and commissioning.
Transportation Planning & Traffic Engineering
We provide innovative solutions to meet the existing and future transportation demands of automobiles, trucks, buses, rapid transit, bicycles, and pedestrians in urban, rural, and industrial environments. Our transportation and traffic engineering specialists, formerly operating as the Ward Consulting Group, plan road and transit networks for municipal, regional and provincial governments and private sector clients. We develop and apply computer-based models to project future travel conditions on road and transit networks and to devise solutions with optimal mobility and environmental benefits. Parking, access, and site circulation studies are undertaken by EBA to ensure efficient operation of new development sites. Our specialists carry out Road Safety Audits on new facilities and In-Service Road Safety Reviews on existing roadways.
Infrastructure Management & Data Collection
We combine our expertise in infrastructure management and state-of-the-art data collection technologies to provide solutions to owners and operators of transportation infrastructure. Our advanced non-destructive data collection technologies — which include high-speed inertial profilers, FWD and HWD, ROADRADAR, ICERADAR and RAILRADAR — measure the condition and performance of transportation infrastructure including roads, bridge decks, runways and taxiways, ice roads, and railroads.
Our team of electrical, software and pavement engineers, and GIS and infrastructure management specialists provide off-the-shelf or custom-designed solutions that meet client-defined objectives. These solutions include infrastructure management systems for roads, airports and railroads, network and project level non-destructive condition data collection, forensic investigations, research and development, and training.
