Business Overview

EBA Business Partnership is an educational organization that is integral to the success of LBUSD Academic and Career Success Initiative. All Long Beach Unified students have an opportunity to pursue a rigorous education that prepares them for post-secondary opportunities in education and careers. Through classroom instruction and a rigorous course sequence, LBUSD students are exposed to the skills and jobs that are associated with their themed course of study.
Business partners can enhance a student's educational experience in a variety of ways, including donations of time and expertise. By having business involved in the education process, it brings real world knowledge and skills into the classroom and exposes students to experiences and insights they would not otherwise receive. In return business partners help shape the future of their industry by contributing to the education and skill sets that will help prepare 21st century students to successfully compete in a global economy

Advisory Committee

Purpose: An Advisory Committee is a support group of community partners representing both a career sector and a small learning community. This Partnership is formed to:

• Improve both academic achievement and workplace product.
• Recruitment and retention of trained workers
• Labor force flexibility
• Direct impact on the community
• Increased employee interaction
• Higher community visibility
• Create real-world learning experiences
